AMC Kent Station 14

Retail and entertainment remodels run on tight, after-hours schedules, and United Seattle's crews are built for them. At AMC Kent Station 14 in Kent, WA, our team delivered the metal framing and drywall scope for the IMAX auditorium remodel, working for general contractor Aspen Builders.


The scope called for light-gauge metal stud framing and gypsum board in and around the new IMAX auditorium, with materials staged and installed on a fast track through the summer of 2023 so the theater could reopen on schedule.


Working inside an operating cinema means coordinating with the theater's operations, controlling dust, and hitting the general contractor's milestones. United Seattle handled it under one contract with one point of contact — the same way we deliver every commercial tenant improvement.

More About the Project...

At AMC Kent Station 14 at 426 Ramsay Way in Kent, WA, United Seattle provided the interior framing and drywall package for the IMAX remodel led by Aspen Builders. Our framing crew set cold-formed and non-structural metal studs to the new auditorium layout, including the tall wall sections that support the premium-format screen and sound system.


Our drywall team hung gypsum board on the new assemblies and taped and finished the joints to a smooth surface ready for the theater's acoustic treatments and finishes. Work was sequenced with the general contractor's other trades so the auditorium could move quickly from framing to final fit-out.
