Friday Harbor High School

When Friday Harbor High School on San Juan Island needed a new exterior, United Seattle mobilized crews and materials by ferry to deliver a complete re-siding of the campus buildings. It is a major public-school exterior project and a clear example of the K-12 work we perform across Washington.

The scope covered removal of the existing cladding, installation of new flashing details, and a full lap siding and trim package across the school's elevations. Working on a school means working around the academic calendar, so our team planned the job to run through the summer of 2025 and hand the building back ready for students.

Island logistics, prevailing-wage requirements, and a public owner's inspection process all demand a subcontractor with the systems to manage them. United Seattle tracked every delivery, crew day, and inspection in Buildertrend so the district and its construction team always knew where the project stood.

More About the Project...

At Friday Harbor High School at 45 Blair Avenue in Friday Harbor, WA, United Seattle completed a full exterior re-siding of the school buildings. Our crews removed the existing siding, inspected and prepared the sheathing, and installed new flashing at every window, door, and transition to keep water out of the wall assembly for decades to come.

The new exterior uses lap siding with matching trim boards, giving the campus a clean, durable finish that stands up to the island's marine climate. Because the site is only reachable by ferry, materials were staged in bulk and crew trips planned around the sailings so the schedule held through the summer window.
