Fort Flagler Historic Theater

Some projects are about more than square footage. The historic theater at Fort Flagler State Park on Marrowstone Island, WA is a landmark of the old coastal fort, and United Seattle was proud to be part of its rehabilitation, delivering the siding and drywall scope for EvoDesign under Washington State Parks.

Historic rehabilitation calls for a careful hand: matching existing profiles, protecting original fabric, and working within the standards that govern state park properties. Our crews replaced and repaired exterior siding to match the theater's original character and installed new gypsum board where interior walls were rebuilt.

Work began in summer 2025 on a remote island site, which put a premium on planning material deliveries and crew logistics. It is another example of the public and institutional work United Seattle takes on across Western Washington.

More About the Project...

At the Fort Flagler Historic Theater at 10541 Flagler Road in Nordland, WA, United Seattle supported the rehabilitation of one of the park's most recognizable buildings. Our siding crew removed deteriorated exterior boards, addressed the substrate beneath, and installed new siding and trim to match the historic profile of the structure.

Inside, our drywall team hung and finished gypsum board on the rebuilt wall assemblies, delivering smooth, paint-ready surfaces while the design team preserved the theater's original layout and character. Every material and detail was coordinated with EvoDesign to meet the requirements of a Washington State Parks historic property.

Siding and drywall are two of the trades United Seattle self-performs for general contractors, designers, and public agencies throughout Western Washington. Whether the job is a brand-new building or a historic theater, we bring the same crews, care, and project management to every site.
