Sky Valley Transportation Facility

The Sky Valley Transportation Facility in Sultan, WA is a large public works project, and United Seattle delivered one of its most visible interior scopes: cold-formed metal framing and drywall throughout the building. Working for general contractor H B Hansen Construction, our crews framed the perimeter and interior walls, installed gypsum sheathing, and hung and finished the drywall.

Public transportation facilities are built to demanding specifications — CSI-coded assemblies, cold-formed steel joists and studs, and inspections at every stage. Our project management team tracked each change order, material order, and crew day in Buildertrend so the prime contractor always had accurate numbers.

The project ran from mid-2023 into 2024 and stands alongside United Seattle's other public work for cities, counties, school districts, and the State of Washington.

At the Sky Valley Transportation Facility at 32900 Cascade View Drive in Sultan, WA, United Seattle provided the cold-formed metal framing and drywall package for H B Hansen Construction. Our framing crews set the perimeter wall framing and interior partitions in cold-formed steel, installed gypsum sheathing and plywood where specified, and framed the corridor door openings to the approved layout.

Our drywall team then hung gypsum board across the facility and taped and finished the joints to a smooth, paint-ready surface. Change orders for relocated walls and revised door locations were priced, tracked, and executed without slowing the prime contractor's schedule.
