United Seattle re-sided the Galaxie, a four-story, 10-unit condominium building on West Crockett Street in Seattle, while owners stayed in their homes.
The 1974 building's old cladding came off to the sheathing. Crews installed new DensElement sheathing, fiber cement lap siding and panels, new windows and doors, and a fresh exterior paint finish.

At the Galaxie in Seattle, United Seattle removed the original cladding elevation by elevation, installed DensElement sheathing with a built-in water-resistive barrier, and liquid-flashed every opening.
New windows and doors were set and tied into the barrier, then 1x4 furring, fiber cement lap siding and panels, and metal flashing went up before the exterior paint finish.
